Delivery Systems

The Dermaviduals skin care treatment system is based on the concept of corneotherapy.  The range of products includes cleansing and moisturizing formulations that work together to rebuild the integrity of the skin barrier and prevent barrier disorders.  In addition to complete formulations, Dermaviduals provides base creams and active agents that can be combined by the consumer or a skin care professional to individualize the products for different skin care needs. 

The Dermaviduals line of products utilizes nanoparticles, liposomes, and DMS as ideal penetrating agents to selectively carry active substances into all types of skin.  This serves to protect healthy skin and helps restore damaged skin to a natural balanced state.

Dermaviduals products with DMS are based on the Derma Membrane Structure of the skin.  This means that the structure and composition of our products resembles the components of the natural skin barrier.

In the past decade, research studies of the corneocyte protective barrier have shown that these external cells are arranged in the form of bricks, and the lipids between those cells act as a mortar to maintain adhesion.  Loss of these lipids allows trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL) to occur, which causes skin cells to become dry and flaky.  This can lead to damaged, unsightly skin, and may be seen in skin disorders such as eczema, neurodermatitis, acne, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and ichthyosis.
Dermaviduals products have been formulated as ideal agents for use in corneotherapy, to help correct abnormal corneocyte adhesion.

Dermaviduals skin care products do not use standard oil in water (O/W), or water in oil (W/O) emulsions, but employ an advanced method that blends DMS, nanoparticles, and liposomes.  These products contain ingredients that are obtained only from natural sources, such as soybean lecithin, ceramides from yeast, triglycerides from palm oil, and other substances from olives, shea butter, and avocado.

All Dermaviduals products are made without preservatives, emulsifiers, artificial dyes, perfuming agents, mineral oils, amines, or silicones.

Clinical Support

Several studies have been done to show the efficacy of Dermaviduals products. Although many of these have been conducted by the manufacturer in Germany, studies have also been done by third parties in other countries.

Our partner company in Germany founded the Institute of Applied Corneotherapy (IAK) to develop cosmetic treatment procedures and study the efficacy of products. A unique skin measuring device and software solution have been developed based on the concept of corneotherapy.

The development of Dermaviduals products is based on the combination of product application and development at the Institute of Applied Corneotherapy. As we continually test our product effectiveness during the development phase, we are able to constantly evaluate and optimize the effectiveness of our products.
